The Concept

The concept of the Pillow Bar is to match the obvious market demand for custom-made, high-quality pillows to the previously unavailable service and product that the Pillow Bar will now offer. The Pillow Bar will be located within high-end retail linen stores and product distributors to encourage consumers to prefer a specific retail location to another purveyors to seek out the added service and product provided. A percentage of consumers will be drawn by the perfect pillow concept, others by the novelty of such a custom product. Service will be key. Therefore, on-site, instant personalization is vital. Each Pillow Bar will be an instant gratification product that is managed by the in-store staff. It will offer several different pillow sizes, with immediate monogramming and scenting in order for the customer to take the pillow home immediately.

The Pillow Bar Design

The Pillow Bar is designed and constructed of high-grade laminate and polycarbon presented in a free-standing kiosk type unit. It is on free moving wheels and is easily assembled and shipped. It is designed to welcome customers and encourage them to have hands-on involvement with the making of their custom product. The fill materials can be clearly seen through the polycarbon window. As the customer finishes the “fill” process, they are encouraged to make use of the available natural scents and monogramming also located on the bar to custom monogram the pillow casing.
